Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez is set to join Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad for a big fee. Marca reported on Friday that Nacho Fernandez is set to officially leave Real Madrid. With the 34-year-old defender closing in on a two-year deal worth a combined €40 million from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad football. 

Nacho is set to become a free agent when his contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30. Although Los Blancos are trying to convince the player to sign a one-year deal with the club. With the 34-year-old defender coming to an end his 23-year spell with Los Blancos UFABET

Nacho is reportedly close to accepting an offer from Al-Ittihad to reunite. With old team-mates Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Fabinho on a two-year deal worth €20m a season. Meaning the 34-year-old centre-back could pocket a staggering €29m on top of his current €11m-a-year deal. 

If Nacho does decide to move to Al-Ittihad, Real Madrid will need to find a replacement for the 34-year-old centre-back. Which could include Rafa Marin, the 22-year-old defender who is set to return from Alaves after his loan spell. Or invest around €50-60 million to sign 18-year-old centre-back Leni Yoro from Lille. 

Last season, Nacho won La Liga, the UEFA Champions League and the Supercopa de Espana. Throughout his 12 seasons with Real Madrid. He has make 364 appearances and win a total of 26 trophies.
