Former England midfielder Adam Lallana has officially rejoined Southampton on a free transfer after leaving Brighton football.
The 36-year-old made 25 Premier League appearances for Brighton last season. Captaining the side in their final game of the season against Manchester United.

The academy graduate has made 265 appearances for the Saints, scoring 60 goals and providing 45 assists.
He was part of the team that won promotion from League One to the Premier League under Nigel Atkins.
He first joined the Saints at the age of 12, beginning a 14-year spell with Southampton. Which saw them win back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League. As well as lifting the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in 2010, including scoring in the Wembley final.
The 36-year-old was later named Southampton captain and was called up to the senior England squad for the first time in 2013. Before moving to the Reds in the summer of 2014.
At Anfield, he won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup in 2019 before winning the Premier League title in 2019-20.
Lallana returned to Southampton as Russell Martin’s first signing of the summer after four seasons at Brighton. Bringing with him a wealth of experience, making 291 Premier League appearances and 34 England caps.
