Yan Guto has changed his look to a black hairdo at the request of the Brazil national team after previously showing off his pink hair with Girona football.

Right-back Yan Couto, The 22 year old has revealed he had to revert to his usual dark hair at the request of Brazil after striking a bright pink shade for Girona last season, Marca reported on Friday. UFABET

Guto joined Girona on loan from Manchester City last season and impressed, finishing as the top scorer in Michel Sanchez’s side with 10 assists, before being called up to Brazil’s squad for the 2024 Copa America. 

In addition to his excellent form, Guto also stands out on the pitch with his bright pink hair. But fans won’t see that during his time with the Samba team this summer. 

‘It was a request, basically they told me that pink was funny. I didn’t see it that way. But I respected it. They asked me and I did it.’

‘It’s a Girona thing, a lot of people dye their hair, it’s become a fashion. In the national team, I’m Jan, black hair, nothing has changed. I’m still the same person.’ the 22-year-old right-back said. 

Couto made 34 appearances for Girona in La Liga last season, scoring one goal and adding an impressive 10 assists. He will compete with Juventas stalwart Danilo for the right-back spot in head coach Dorival Junior’s starting XI.
